How to Lose Weight after giving Birth on a Budget

By Teresa Brown

A lot of ladies are used to their daily shopping and eating routines. Introducing a new baby into your circle of life can put a real dent in your wallet. So when it comes time for lunch anything quick and cheap seems like the best option for a busy mom.

If you want to lose weight after giving birth you can't just snack on anything that is on sale. And as tempting as it may seem, getting a gym membership or personal trainer are good things to do but costly on your time and your wallet. Here are 3 simple tips to losing your baby fat without losing your credit.

A. Ditch the Gym Deal

Lots of people get sucked into a long membership at an expensive gym but never go. You don't need to leave your house to lose weight after giving birth, you can tone and trim around the house. Staying creative can include everything from tricep dips using a chair or pushups in the kitchen and crunches on an exercise ball or lunges across the living room.

B. Cut out the Coffee

Specialty Coffee and Tea drinks aren't only expensive but also full of empty calories which is a double whammy when you are trying to lose weight after giving birth. It isn't cheap filling up on frappuccinos either and if you are popping in your local coffee shop two or three times a week, you could be shelling out up to 20 bucks just on beverages. Also it can be tricky avoiding the delicious fatty scones and cookies that are sold there to accompany your cup of Joe. If you want to stay hydrated but need more than just water, try and stick to juices that are low in fructose sugar and high in vitamins.

C. Your own Personal Trainer

Instead of paying for 10 step classes at the gym, pay for 100 of them with one DVD. Now with fitness DVD's you can have a personal trainer at home to lose weight after giving birth. Pilates, Fat-Burning Yoga, and Tiabo are just some of the many options for getting your workout done in front of the TV. When I get lazy I like to turn on the latest reality show about weight loss and use the encouraging words of advice those trainers use to spur me on too!

Losing weight after giving birth doesn't have to be a money-draining ordeal. Empower yourself to lose your tummy by becoming a more calorie conscious and practical consumer. You want to lose a pant size not empty your pockets so make sure you take these tips all the way to the bank.
