Know Yourself and Success Is Sure To Follow

By Mr WebbyFied

Know what you do know, and, even more importantly, know what you don't.

Knowing what you know can make you excel, and become great, at whatever you want to do. The other side to this equation is knowing what you don't know, and this can give you the extra tools you need to create that slight "edge" that will get you even better results, and make you much more effective as a person and an online business owner.

So, what exactly is "knowing what you know, and knowing what you don't know"?

Well, it's just that.

When you know where your strengths lay, and what your talents are, you have tasks that you can do personally, and can do effectively. You know what you are best suited for, and you also know what you can do on your own instead of having to pay someone else.

That brings us to knowing what you don't know.

When first setting out to reach your goals, you start learning that there are some things you aren't too good at but must do.

This is knowing what you don't know.

These odd tasks are usually responsible for getting you stuck. They keep you from moving forward. Admitting that these are not your strongest points will make you much happier, and effective, in the long run.

If you know what you aren't good at, and it isn't something you must do yourself, get someone else to do it! You'd be better off spending your time focusing on your strengths instead of worrying about figuring out how to make something you don't know much about work!

This can be a hard thing to do for some entrepreneurs, especially online entrepreneurs.

We usually get so stuck in doing everything on our own that soon enough we don't have an ounce of energy for our business.

We do that which we know, we learn about that which we do not know, and, before we know it, our business is playing second fiddle because we still have yet to master some menial task!

Trying to know everything is crazy, and, even if you are good at it, there is probably someone you can pay that can do it better than you and for less cost (the time you spend doing these things can be put to better use).

Granted, when you are just beginning, odds are you won't have the resources to afford a web designer, but you should still know your strengths and use that knowledge to your advantage. Know your weaknesses as well, and learn what you have to learn, but not much more than the necessary stuff.

Make your money first, then pay somebody else to take care of that stuff.

That will be the reason you spend a weekend in Maui on the beach, or the weekend in front of your computer passed out from exhaustion, with a little extra money in the bank. The cost of a trip to Maui and some help, to be exact.
