The Miele Hose - Durability, Function, and Style

By Kristina Brown

Vacuum cleaners are capable of picking up a large amount of dirt from your floors but in order for the machine to funnel that power to the floor a canister vacuum requires a hose. Since a hose plays such a crucial role in the clean ability of a vacuum cleaner, it is important for a hose to work and perform well. This is exactly why Miele, a German Company, created a vacuum cleaner with a durable, long-lasting hose.

One of the most amazing things about Miele is the rigorous testing they perform on all of their products in their German Facilities. Every piece Miele makes needs to be able to handle years of use and if a part does not do as well as it should in Miele's testing it is discarded. A piece is only known as a Miele piece when it has passed the test of durability, ease of use and more.

Throughout the life of your vacuum cleaner there will probably be a time when you or one of your family members accidently walks on your vacuum hose. Although this does not seem like a big deal, it is. Most hoses on the market today are reinforced with wire that will warped if walked on and will never return back to its original form. However, Miele created their hose with a material that will not distort if walked on. Getting a Miele hose will prevent you from consistently spending $70 on a new hose, thanks to its ingenious crush-proof design.

Many vacuums cleaner manufacturers also create a hose with an inferior hose connection. This connection is likely to fall apart after a while and the user is forced to either purchase a new vacuum hose or get theirs repaired. Some connections are so bad, the manufacturer actually tells you not to drag the canister around because the connection might break! Miele's hose connection quality far surpasses that of almost every other brand. In fact you can hold the machine from the connection with an extra ten-pound weight at the end of it and it still will hold up just fine. This is just another example of how much thought and effort Miele puts into making a superior product.

Whether it be a car, keyboard or vacuum, you want that product to feel comfortable when using it. Now one wants to put their body in an awkward uncomfortable position to accommodate their purchase. Miele is aware that the hose handle is a very important piece to the hose because that is where the user handles the machine a majority of the time. For this reason, Miele created a handle that is ergonomic and easy to handle. The handle also has a static electricity discharge bar integrated into the handle to prevent a build up of static electricity when moving the powerhead back and forth.

No one enjoys unnecessary bending, however with a lot of vacuums on the market today you have to bend down to turn off the brushroll. To help save your back and time, Miele put a switch cleverly located on the handle itself that turns the powerhead on and off with ease.

It is rare for a person to only vacuum their floors when vacuuming. Usually a person will also vacuum upholstery, lampshades, drapes and more. That is exactly why Miele put suction controls in their top-of-the-line vacuum cleaner. You can adjust the suction to accommodate all of the different things you need to vacuum with the touch of a button on the handle.

Miele makes sure every part of their vacuum cleaners exceed expectations and the Miele Hose is no exception. The Miele Hose has many features including an ergonomic handle, a crush-proof hose and solid connections, all of which help ensure ease of use and customer satisfaction. Hopefully this article will help you in your future purchase of a vacuum cleaner.
