Build Muscle Tone with These Tips

By Caleb Lee

Are you having trouble building muscle tone?

Here's how you can build muscle tone.

You cannot focus on building muscle tone. You have to build up your muscle first. If you have no muscle to tone out, then how can you even think about toning your muscles? You need to build up the foundation for your muscles and then concentrate on the tone.

To build up your muscles, use exercises that will provide the most effect with the least amount of exercise. This does not mean cut out some exercises, it just means to substitute many exercises, for one better one, called a compound exercise. Exercises, for example the pushup, pull up, deadlift, squat, bench press, and military press, can help you to build many muscles at once, while also building up the joints they use, too.

After you have made some kind of foundation of muscle, you can begin to work on the tone. This is done by losing some body fat. A normal, average person has 15% to 25% of body fat. Your goal should be to lower yours to about 10% in order to uncover those muscles and build muscle tone.

Your first step to loosing body fat is to cut your calorie intake. By doing this, even by cutting the slightest amount, for example, 400 calories less a day, your body will look for other sources of energy to compensate for the loss, your body fat. Doing this for a couple of weeks will show some results.

To take it a step further, regulate your food intake. Enough with the fast foods, boxed meals, and large amounts of candy we all seem to be addicted to. Your body needs good, healthy food help build your muscle and also help drop your calorie intake. Eat what I like to call "clean" food. Naturally grown foods or foods that aren't stuffed with additives for better taste is what you want to look for. Substituting foods like fish, chicken, fruits, and vegetables, instead of the candy and boxed foods, can help you start on your way to eating healthier.

Use these tips, and start building your muscle tone today.
