Five Tips On How To Get a Date

By Chaszey Sandhriel

It's a known fact that not every man knows how to get a date. In fact, the self conscious types are probably those who never learned how to approach women. These are the men who may retreat back to their caves when presented with the opportunity to meet single women. Here are five great tips on how to get a date.

These aren't fail proof, but some of these have worked for guys who don't know the first thing about how to get a date, so maybe they can help you too.

1. Practice speaking comfortably with women. You may not really know the factors that prevent you from approaching available women unless you start practicing in a comfortable environment that puts no pressure on you to ask for the date. If you work in an office environment, you can start talking to your female co-workers until you're more comfortable. Join a lunch table or go out to lunch with a group of co-workers and start mingling. This set up allows you to be under no obligation to flirt, you're not even expected to show romantic interest at all; a great way for you to practice "being yourself".

2. Don't miss the opportunity to mingle - Attend every party that you're invited to, whether it's your cousin's wedding or a friend's family picnic. The basic principle in learning how to get a date is to start somewhere familiar. Explore every possibility of meeting the right girl for you and do not be choosy with the parties you attend. Most tips on how to get a date will tell you to get out of your comfort zone, but my opinion on this is slightly different. Start within your comfort zone before attempting to move out and conquer riskier settings.

3. Create Opportunities - Said differently, advertise your single status! The best and easiest way to tell the world you're single is by letting your guy friends know that you're ready to date and let them help you introducing you to their female friends. You can also create an online dating profile and go on dates that way, or by joining a speed dating group. Another way to get the word out there is to create your own blog. Use your blog as your dating profile, it's your message in a bottle. Your blog might just be read by your special someone. Putting yourself out there will create more opportunities for true love to find you.

4. Seize Opportunity - Why wait, says another advice on how to get a date. Get out and find single women who are waiting for someone like you to come along. This means going to places where girls advertise their single status. Aggressive dating is how all the pick up artists in the world will describe this strategy. She's there waiting for someone to talk to. Your role is to be the prince she is waiting for.

5. Look inside your own circle - Your dream girl may already be someone you know. Who among your friends will treasure you more as a boyfriend than a friend? There must be someone very close to you who is dreaming of having a romantic relationship with you. Open your eyes to love and you will find it.
