Toy car collecting

By Scott Hilburn

Collecting toy cars is a lot of fun. I collect die cast cars. There are different brands and sizes of die cast vehicles. Here are a few reasons that I have decided why I like to collect these die cast vehicles.

Brand is very important me. My favorite die cast to collect is Hot Wheels. Hot Wheels has the largest selection of vehicles from large 1:12 scale to the most popular 1:64 scale. There are first editions to collect every year. Multiple four car series are also available for the most passionate collector.

My other brand is called Code 3. They primarily make realistic toy fire engines. The detail and casting are very impressive. What kid doesn't enjoy a good toy fire engine? Code 3 even makes toy fire stations!

The father son time that I have with my sons with this hobby is priceless. One son loves the Hot Wheels and the other son loves the fire engines. Not only do get to keep buying die cast vehicles for my collection but I by extras for my sons to play with.

I plan to keep the collection to pass down to my sons when they get to my age. Two things occur when this happens. First, the collection will increase ten fold in value. Secondly and most importantly, my kids will have memories of the time spent between each and their father.
