Daydreaming is extremely pleasant for both positive and negative folk. We all do it. Oh, boy! In his daydreams the self-pitying clerk inherits a fortune, quietly buys the company, and walks in one day to give a Bronx salute to his hated boss and tell him he's fired by the new owner - the clerk, no less.
Roy Howard, who became a guiding genius of the Scripps-Howard chain of newspapers, was once upon a time a penniless newsboy peddling the Indiana Daily Times. One day he walked in and bought the paper for cash.
Then we have Dolly Dizzymind, who dreams she is picked up at the curb by the most smart-looking guy you could ever imagine, in his brand new Porsche.
He presents her with diamond jewelry and flies with her off to Dreamland in his private jet airplane. Actually, though, there was once a miner's daughter who got married to a millionaire.
You and I can be everything we ever wanted in our daydreams. Then there are some people, like Roy Howard, and the daughter of a miner, who do make their dreams turn into reality.
Many others could make their dreams come true, too. There has to be a strong desire, though. And a positive, can-do attitude. Those who have that mindset are those who transform their reality.
However, those men and women who stay in a negative mindset of vain wishful thinking with no action connected to it, are going to fail. That attitude is as damaging as hard liquor.
I tell you: the daydreamers come in two totally different shapes. There are the positive ones, the doers. They take action, since they see their goals as achievable. And they get results. Then there are those negative folks who are lost in the dream and don't act. Nor will they ever make their dreams into reality.
