Bathroom vanity is the key to your restroom

By Superior Home Decor

When you start to redecorate your bathroom, like most people you may not consider your bathroom vanity to be the most important element. However, the mirror in your bathroom is often the centerpiece of your entire bathroom design. This is because people look into the mirror in your bathroom as a reflex, since they have been checking their appearances in the mirror since the beginning of their lives. Even public restrooms have mirrors so you will be expected to have one as well.

Checking your appearance in the mirror is almost an automatic response for most people. You could even go so far as to say it is a habit. People are so self-conscience about their appearance. You can be sure that the more elaborate your mirror design is the more admiration you will get from your guests. This holds especially true if you match it well with a very elaborate bathroom vanity. Don't forget to place the mirror at a general eye level for most guests out of convenience.

Also, you need to keep in mind that your bathroom vanity holds an extra value in your home because it is the one large item in your bathroom that you have control over. The equivalent to furniture in your restroom is the toilet, sink, and shower. For most people, these are not replaceable items, and due to your piping, they are also not items that can be rearranged.

When you decide to use a warm theme for your bathroom, your best bet is to choose a bathroom vanity that contains some type of wood trim. This style will coordinate very well with all of the earth tones and it will also give you complete control over your entire bathroom design you're your up for it you can even personalize it more with a vast selection of shades of wood. For instance, if you choose a darker wood stain for the trim color then you may be best served by accenting the room with reds and greens.

Another thought when designing your bathroom is that you could use a natural stained wood floor. When you match the color of the bathroom vanity with your flooring it will create a natural feel and add warmth to your bathroom.

You could even consider adding wood towel racks or other wood accents to your bathroom. You can set the accents on wood or glass shelves next to the mirror above the bathroom vanity. These accents will help add a warm touch to your overall bathroom design.

You also might consider using wooden towel holders throughout your bathroom so that the entire bathroom has one cohesive theme, tied together of course by your bathroom vanity, which is now the centerpiece to your restroom. Choosing a bathroom vanity that does not match with the rest of your restroom is going to be distractive and harsh to the eyes of your guests, therefore ruining any theme you may have been trying to develop.
