Bath sizing for your bathroom

By Sebastian Giovanni

A renovation of your lavatory comes with several important decisions. But the most important decision of all is which bathroom vanity mirror you're going to install above the lavatory sink. This is something that will be seen by all your guests when they head into and leave the lavatory. Your lavatory theme or design is the guiding light into your personality as far as your guests are concerned.

Although it may be somewhat disheartening to realize that the Bath is going to have such an impact on your guests when you have painstakingly decorated your own home, it is still true. Almost every person who uses the bathroom will check their appearance in the mirror afterwards. This is why you find a mirror in almost every public bathroom as well as in people's residence.

When redecorating your bathroom, make sure that that you get away from dull, plain themes, you will need to add some energy to the utmost most important room that is in the house. By following your bathroom design and theme when in search of your vanity, you also need to keep in mind that you want positive vibes and personality. By placing the mirror approximatly at eye level for an average person over your sink, it helps your guests understand that you really were keeping their needs when decorating your bathroom. With the needs of your guests and yourself met and also have a theme that is brought throughout causes positive feed back.

You need to make sure the style and size of your mirror coordinate with your bathroom vanity. If you buy a small mirror and hung it over an oversized vanity, it will cause a huge unbalance. It works also the opposite, if the sink is smaller and the mirror is twice the sink's size it is impractical for the design of the bathroom.

A general rule of thumb is to aim for the same size, with only an inch or two up either way in proportion to how many feet long your countertop is. For instance, a little larger Vanity will help fill up empty space in the bathroom without over powering the small sink. The trim should also be kept conditionally smaller so that the trim does not overstate the white empty wall as well.

When you choose a larger type of bathroom vanity be sure you place it close to the middle of the room leaving a couple of inches for proper accents. Always make sure that the trim molding of the vanity matches as closely as possible to the framing of the mirror. A towel bar or some other accent piece can be placed on opposite sides of the vanity mirror. These should also match the trim on the vanity.

When decorating your lavatory you are looking for anything that will show your guests your personality. There are many styles to choose from when you go looking for a bathroom vanity. You just need to be sure that your choices represent you and your personality and you enjoy them.
